Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Bill Matteson from Fredonia, New York. After losing his son to a drug overdose two years ago, he’s now helping other families cope with the drug crisis.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Julie Palmer from Buffalo. She’s leading the fight to “take-out” human trafficking in western New York.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Steve Tybor from Buffalo.  He’s helping 100 families with home repair projects this summer in the “Queen City,” for free.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Dawn Samuelson from Gerry, New York.  She uses horses to help veterans and first responders cope with anxiety and depression.

Today’s “Hometown Heroes” are Chris & Janice Schatz from Kersey, Pennsylvania. They run a ministry aimed at reaching the lost for Christ through outdoor music festivals.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Nate Bailey from Sinclairville, New York. He’s started an organization that’s connecting local Christian business leaders to reach Chautauqua County for Christ.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Sue Vanderlinden from Hornell, New York. After a life of giving back, she was recently honored for her generosity in the “Maple City.”

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Joe Bolognone from Syracuse, New York.  He runs a ministry that’s connecting Christians across the region.
