During this time of Lent, and during this time of great uncertainty about what is happening in the world today, we must cling closer to Christ, to trust completely in Him, and hear His voice. When He says, "I thirst", our response should be "Jesus, I trust in you."

The most important thing to remember is that when we are tempted, we are not alone. Jesus has already conquered the devil and He wants to conquer the devil in us too.

So let us join our Lord in the desert so we will be victorious in the most important battle we will ever fight.

How is it that we can be perfect as our heavenly Father is calling us to be? It seems like an impossibly high standard, but God doesn't play games. If God calls us to live according to His standards, it means that we can do so, not on our own, but with His help...

I grew up a cradle Catholic and learned to pray at a very young age. But my faith was never really apart of who I was. It was only something that I did. I looked for freedom in all the wrong places, but now I understand that the Lord is patiently waiting for us to choose Him.
