In this homily, Father Mattingly discusses the beauty and rarity of true Christian friendship. It is a reason to rejoice! We have the responsibility of spreading our experience of deep Christian friendship to others outside of our immediate community. In this way we don’t just help others feel better, but we bring God to them through our friendship.

Father Andrew Mattingly is a priest for the Diocese of Kansas City – St. Joseph. He is currently the associate pastor at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, as well as the diocesan director for young adults and campus ministry.
