In this homily on Christmas, Father Mattingly reflects on the child Jesus as our savior from sin. Sin is the greatest disease the world has ever seen, and the real joy of Christmas is that we were destined for eternal death, but God came to save us. Fr. Mattingly reflects on the question: are we satisfied with this kind of savior, one whose priority is to rescue us from sin, or do we look for a different kind of savior?
