Unless you make all of your money by selling your own products and services, there’s a good chance you’ll rely on client work to make up a portion of your income, when you work for yourself. We talk about how we found our first clients, as well as how we get clients today. We also talk about what we call ourselves, how we position our services, setup contracts, set expectations and create good communication strategies. (And since you know we don’t shy away from the big stuff, we also share examples of red flags and clients/projects we’ve turned down!) It’s taken years for us to learn how to run profitable freelance businesses. Hopefully there’s an idea or two that can help you with yours.
