Being Honest and  Truth with people is very important to me.  This is something I strive to always do.  When you are caught in a lie, your trust worthiness drops and you fail in the eyes of friends, family and it can cost you a career, a friend, or a relationship.  Engage your brain, think before you speak and use your common sense.  Book smarts only gets you so far in life.
