You need to be honest. Honest with yourself and honest with God.

No actual growth will happen apart from that. Honesty allows you to view yourself clearly without judging yourself or your performance. It will enable people to be honest with you to help you grow.

Honesty allows you freedom because you know God knows the real you, how you feel about everything happening, and is still right there with you and for you.
