1 Timothy 6:17 says that God provides us with all things to enjoy. What do you enjoy about your performance and everything attached to it? What are you enjoying in life? It’s easy to have joy-filled performances when you have a joy-filled life.

Joy should be a defining mark for believers, in our lives, and in our performance. When was the last time you had a moment of joy?

"You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don't make money your goal. Instead, pursue the things you love doing and then do them so well that people can't take their eyes off of you." - Maya Angelou.

What is the chief and highest end of man? Man's chief and highest end is to glorify God and fully enjoy Him forever.

To increase joy:

Pre-performance: remind yourself what you get to do vs. have to, what you will enjoy at the moment, and why.

In performance: don’t let yourself think about the past or future; keep yourself present in the moment.

Post-performance: reflect on what you enjoyed and how much you enjoyed it.

You won’t enjoy God in your performance if you don’t enjoy Him everywhere else.
