Meet the Stars of the Circus! Elizabeth uses humor to make sense of the chaos that unfamiliar behaviors were bringing to their family. Seeing life as a three ring circus complete with a clown, a trapeze artist and a monkey kept things light while navigating the new territory of a learning disability diagnosis in a state that did not provide much support.

In 2021, Elizabeth published a book that chronicles her journey of parenting children who learn differently than the “average” student. “Learning Differently-A Mom’s View of Raising Children with Dyslexia and ADHD” is an encouragement to parents to advocate for their children to do the next right thing and walk out one decision at a time. In her book, she champions parents to fight for their child until they are old enough to fight for themselves. She uses humor, advice and encouragement to remind parents that a learning disability diagnosis is not a death sentence, it’s actually a gift.
