Psalm 22 was a prophecy of Jesus suffering on Good Friday. What made that Friday good? The curtain was torn, letting us be welcomed into Gods presence on Jesus merit. On a day that would have been the darkest in history, light shone as we were set free through Him. He suffered so that we could find complete healing for our souls.

Have you ever considered the composure of Jesus on the night of the Last Supper? He knew all that was ahead: the betrayal, His friends deserting Him, torture, pain and death, yet He showed great composure and served His disciples, including the one who would betray Him.

Persecution is a reality of the church that God uses to grow His church. We cannot control when persecution comes or ends, but it is a reality of the Christian life. Amazingly, persecution has not destroyed the church but has purified and strengthened it.

What are you doing with your soul? Where will your spirit find rest? The best place, the most secure place for our souls to be kept is in the hands of God.

It is Finished was the Lords cry as He conquered sin for us and made the way for us to be children of God. The finished work of the Lord on the cross completely covers all our sins, we are completely redeemed by the blood of the Lord.

Christian history, as well as our culture, has made us sceptical of miracles. As a result, we run a risk of approaching passages like Acts 3:1-26 with a similar skepticism which will hinder us from plumbing the depths of Gods Word and appreciating His power. As we approach passages like this, we need to remember the reason for Gods miracles, they were not performed because it was a call thing to do, they all had purposes.

Whether articulated or not, every single person is crying out, I thirst. Whether well admit it or not, every single person is crying out to be satisfied and be made whole. There is an aching void in the soul, there is something within us that is unsatisfied until we meet Jesus.

As Christs followers, we are called to be His image bearers in this world. The church of God is to be marked by the Spirit of God, with devotion to the Lord and love for one another.

Do we really believe that God is able to do far more than we think or imagine? Do we believe that God is powerfully at work within us for His glory in the church? We certainly confess that God is powerful but in our day to day lives, we lose sight of it.
