Surf Report for Honolulu Hawaii

Honolulu, HI Surf Report for 02-14-2025

Listen Later

Aloha, wave riders! Get ready for an epic weekend of Hawaiian surf action. The North and West facing shores are about to light up with some serious swell action!

We're looking at a massive northwest pulse building Friday night into Saturday, with surf heights climbing to 10-18 feet on North shores and 8-12 feet on West facing coastlines. The National Weather Service is throwing out a High Surf Advisory, so buckle up for some serious wave action.

The big story is a deep low pressure system lurking near Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula, which is sending long-period swells our way. Forerunners will start rolling in Sunday night, with the peak hitting Monday night and holding strong through Tuesday.

Kauai and Oahu are gonna see the most action, with North facing shores getting hammered by 10-14 foot waves tonight, ramping up to 14-18 feet by Friday afternoon. West facing shores will see a solid 9-12 foot bump.

For you mellow riders, South and East facing shores will keep things chill with modest 2-4 foot waves. The Big Island's West facing shores are under a High Surf Advisory, so expect some exciting conditions.

Weather-wise, expect partly cloudy skies with scattered showers and temperatures hanging in the low 80s. Winds will be light and variable, mostly southwest and southeast.

Pro tip: Check local beach conditions, watch for rip currents, and always surf with a buddy. Stay stoked and stay safe, Hawaii!
