Surf Report for Honolulu Hawaii

Honolulu, HI Surf Report for 03-10-2025

Listen Later

Aloha, wave riders! Get ready for a surf report that's as epic as the Hawaiian swells themselves.

Our islands are cooking up a gnarly north-northwest swell that's gradually dialing back, but don't hang up your board just yet. Mid-week is bringing a fresh medium-period north-northwest pulse around 330 degrees, with a bonus long-period swell trailing right behind to keep the stoke alive.

Kauai and Oahu are looking at consistently solid north and east facing shores, serving up 6-8 foot waves that'll have seasoned surfers grinning from ear to ear. Maui's joining the party with similar conditions, while the Big Island's windward side is offering some serious east-facing action.

Trade winds are flexing hard, generating rough surf along east-facing shores throughout the week. Expect winds around 15-20 mph, creating some seriously textured wave faces. Pro tip: those east shore breaks might get even more aggressive mid-week as the trades crank up.

South-facing shores are keeping it mellow with 1-3 foot waves, though you might catch some sneaky wrap-around action from easterly wind waves if you're at the right spot.

Temperature-wise, we're looking at upper 60s overnight and climbing to the upper 70s and low 80s during the day. Mostly cloudy with scattered showers means occasional liquid sunshine to cool you down between sets.

Sunrise and sunset times are prime for those golden hour sessions - check your local times and plan accordingly.

Stay safe, respect the ocean, and may your wipeouts be minimal and your rides be legendary! Shaka!
