Surf Report for Honolulu Hawaii

Honolulu, HI Surf Report for 03-23-2025

Listen Later

Aloha, wave riders! Get ready for an epic swell headed our way.

Sunday's gonna bring the heat with a massive northwest swell that'll have north and west facing shores pumping! Expect surf heights climbing from modest 5-7 feet tonight to an impressive 14-18 feet on north shores by Sunday evening. Kauai and Oahu surfers, this is your moment - long period forerunners will start building Sunday morning, with a sharp increase through the afternoon and evening.

The swell's looking so significant it's approaching High Surf Warning thresholds, so safety first, brah! Peak conditions will hit Sunday night and Monday, with gradually declining surf Tuesday and Wednesday.

If you're an east shore rider, conditions are looking a bit mellow. Choppy surf is already below seasonal averages and will continue to decline as trade winds ease. Southern shores will maintain seasonally small surf with just a tiny potential bump midweek.

Temperature-wise, we're looking at gorgeous Hawaiian conditions - partly sunny with isolated showers and temps in the lower 80s. Winds will be gentle, hanging around 5-10 mph from the east and southeast.

UV index is extreme, so slather on that sunscreen and stay hydrated. Sunrise hits around 6:20-6:38 AM depending on your island, with sunset following between 6:32-6:50 PM.

Grab your board, respect the ocean, and enjoy the epic conditions coming our way! Surf's up!
