Today we are joined by Emily Meachen of the Soul Worthy podcast who is also a transformation coach working with individuals out of her own learned experiences in this lifetime. Emily and Britt did a podcast swap so be sure to head over to Emily’s podcast to check out Britt’s interview following this one. Sharing her story, Emily relays the different family dynamics in her life to her experience being bullied, assaulted, and then suffering bouts of depression in her early adolescence. In return, we vulnerably reflect on her healing journey and brave outlook on life that she currently holds in her early twenties, all curated from all that she’s been through and most importantly chosen to heal from in this lifetime.
This episode is powerful and certainly not for the faint of heart as many terms and discussion points may serve as triggers for some so please tread lightly if you elect to listen. Throughout the episode Emily shares the various positions relationships have held in her life from her search to be loved and falling out with her mom for several years, to her current boyfriend who equally shares space and genuine compassion for Emily and the place she is in. Together we chat about spiritual journeys and honoring the dark as much as the light, social media’s effect on the brain, and various coping mechanisms the human brain naturally tries to impede on us. Emily wraps up her journey sharing some new courses and coaching programs she’s getting ready to release this summer as her mission is to help others find themselves in order to understand that they too can live fully independent lives.
