Well we did play a little ping pong. We tried to score the match. Brad definitely had the upper-hand, built from wisdom in the trenches. Ultimately this match goes to the noble gamesman.

Personal growth is the opposite of an external charade. Duality vs. individual ownership is the  choice. Know that crowdsourcing opinion or validating stance is a form of drama. It will not bring you peace, but rather short term installments in a journey far from your desired destination.

There is a great avoidance found in multi-tasking. Be willing to be with your stuff. Slow down. Let go of the self imposed or chosen distractions in your life. Clear the window and then face the storm, recognizing that personal excellence in any area of your life will require some trade offs. Often times it is our present habits that are robbing us from a life of significance and impact.

Everything hinges on mindset. Every single action we take starts right there. One of the most powerful tools in our lives is that squishy matter between our ears governed by the choices we make each day. Growth requires that we let go of our ego and refrain from romanticizing the past. In an effort to create a brilliant future, be careful to not nourish resentment, for it is a weed that will take over your future garden. 

Epictetus challenges us to let go of the petulant stranglehold we have on BE RIGHT, by pursuing and cultivating our own affairs. The go-forward will always require that we let go of what might be holding us back.
