This message opens our Honour series by exploring how we are called to honour marriage. Our world has simultaneously devalued the covenant of marriage and idolised the idea of it. Drawing from Genesis this message challenges the assumptions that marriage will complete us or that it’s an outdated institution. Instead, we see that marriage is God’s creation. A covenant designed for friendship, shared calling, sex and family. It’s not the ultimate goal of life, but a reflection of God’s love and a means of shaping us into His likeness.
