Your earthly gods are the people that brought about your existence. Your parents are your little gods and ought to be honored.

Many individuals deny the reason for their existence by denying their parents. I have seen and heard of people do celebrations like wedding and thanksgiving amongst other with some other representative as their parent. Some go as far as paying others to stand in proxy as a parent, not because their parents are sick or no more, but I guess they feel ashamed or disappointed about their origin. This act should come to an end. If you feel your parents don't look good enough, put in effort to improve their appearance rather than replace them or if it's because they are not literates, find an interpreter when it's time for them to give their speech or do so yourself.

Asides bringing you to life, parents make so many sacrifices for you to attain whatever point you are right now. You may feel it isn't enough based on the level you wish to attain, if only you realize they altered their dreams just to give your life purpose.

Appreciate their efforts, make them feel loved and blessed for having you. Don't wait until you acquire all the money in the world before you do the little you can as it opens door for more blessings upon you. Render them assistance now that you can because when you own your family, your attention would be diverted mostly to your wife/ husband and children. However, this is the stage that they need you most. Don't let them suffer with grey hair because it's the time every person wish to enjoy the fruit of their labor.
