Another story from Colorado about the only time I've ridden a motorcycle. I had already put in a long day of hiking but still wanted to make it to Silverton.

I used to live by I-5 in Seattle and would run underneath it to go to Green Lake. I once met some city animals on the way.

In the summer in Colorado, you often have little thunderstorms come over the mountains. If you’re out hiking for a long time, you’re bound to get caught out in at least one storm. I once got lucky by just barely skirting around a couple.

I started out in Colorado with a friend, but he hurt his ankle from carrying too much. On the first day on my own, I learned that the pass was covered in snow from a hiker who got turned around...
