The Field of 68 Network has added former Maryland Athletics Hall of Famer and veteran TV analyst basketball Christy Winters Scott to host “Christy’s Court,” a national podcast devoted to women’s college basketball.
Winters Scott played a school-record 123 games in her four seasons at Maryland, and finished with 1,679 points. Upon graduation, she was second on the all-time scoring list in Terps history, and fourth on the all-time rebounding list with 723 boards. She spent three seasons competing professionally overseas in both Italy and Switzerland before getting into college coaching, and broadcasting. Winters Scott was an assistant coach for 10 seasons at George Mason, Maryland and Georgetown, and is currently the head coach at her alma mater - South Lakes High in Virginia - where she has won multiple coach of the year awards, and most recently won the 2020 district championship with a 13-0 conference record. Winters Scott had her jersey retired at South Lakes in 2018.
