Whenever I heard people leaving the church, I was always baffled, especially when they were “the strong, faithful, stalwart” ones.
Why would anyone leave the most beautiful gift in all the world? How could anyone do it
They must be deceived.
Their testimony just wasn’t strong enough.
They didn’t have enough faith.
They wanted to commit sin.…no doubt some of you may be thinking the same thing about me.
I considered myself to be one of the strong, faithful, and stalwart ones. I had a desire to be immovable, faithful, and obedient like Nephi and the sons of Heleman.
I bore my testimony often. I used my singing voice to share my deep beliefs. We raised our children with the gospel surrounding us.
I was all in...until I wasn't.
