Hookzilla

On this episode we talked about my experience finally watching A Serbian Film, what games we are currently playing, and our recent trip to Video Game Traders.

We are still watching the same Youtube channels but have recently discovered a new one called Retro Rivals and it is pretty awesome! They are like us but cooler because they are Canadian!

Stay tuned for some exciting news regarding Mister Bones and some other guys you might have heard about on previous Hookzilla episodes. I can't wait!

"Is this how the Zombie Apocalypse gets started?"

We discuss the potential beginning to the end based on Twitter rumors that left me confused.

We have been playing a lot of Switch stuff, including: Final Fantasy X, Hades, and Blasphemous. As always, we are both still playing Destiny 2, but we promise to play other stuff soon!

We watched Season 2 of the Mandalorian and Wonder Woman 1984 and discuss our opinions for both while still avoiding spoilers for anyone who might have not seen them yet.

I am excited to make Hookzilla a regular occurrence as we enter 2021 with two episodes every month! For those of you who listen to us, we are endlessly grateful to you and hope to continue to create content that you enjoy for as long as you will listen! Thank you to each of you!

Welcome to the Holiday Hookzilla Extravaganza! In this episode we discuss how my cold green heart has grown three sizes this holiday season, thanks to Mister Bones and plenty of Holiday Movies. Obviously, including Holiday Horror!

We watched Castle Freak and talk about both the new one and the original from 1995, available on Shudder. There are some definite differences in these that we address including some very NSFW scenes.

I want to make sure to give special mention to The Harvest, the short film by a local production company that is doing very BIG things! Look for more from Ry Media Company You can check it out here: https://youtu.be/7nwQQvITwXI

On a personal note, I want to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported us and our little podcast for the last nine episodes. I am committed to making this show more consistent in the upcoming months. There are so many great things that I have been blessed with this year and I look forward to what the future holds. It means so much to me that anyone would take the time to listen to me ramble, so thank you all so much!

This episode we discuss our love for the spooky season. I got to revisit one of my all time favorites, The Craft, and we talk about some very obvious things that Mitch might have missed the first time he watched it. We are planning on watching things that the other might not have seen before so there is definite excitement to be had by all. We also mentioned Destiny 2, as usual, and how we both enjoy Festival of the Lost and The Haunted Forest. I did promise to include links to some of our creator pals as well!

For this episode, Mitch and I discuss The Running Man and the sad reality that humans are horrible. A little bit of Destiny (of course) and the Festival of the Lost coming this week. I'm back to my day job after six weeks, but still working that side hustle so don't forget to order your custom candles! Please reach out to @Mister_Bones or @Hookzilla2 on Twitter if you have any suggestions for awesome movies that I might have missed that you would like us to discuss. I really do have so much catching up to do!

This episode we discuss where we have been for the last couple of months, X-Men, and our most recent hobbies. For the candles mentioned in this one, you can check out letitfly.company.site

Hookzilla episode 5 is here! Assassins, Sharks, Swamp Thing, or "the usual" for us! We talk Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Maneater, why Bungie can't seem to translate lore from the written page to the interactive game, then more about our crusade to own every issue of Swamp Thing, Animal Man, and Generation X. All that, and a segment we like to refer to as "Self Promotion Is Hard" as we realize we did an episode about the Youtube channels we've been watching during quarantine, and yet neglected to plug the fact that Hookzilla began as a Youtube channel. Thanks to everyone who has been listening and sharing, we are just getting started! Give us your feedback, interact with us on social media, check out the Youtube channel, and most importantly, be safe, be aware of your fellow human, and join us for the next episode!

Hey kids, COMICS!  Episode 4 is just for all of our fellow comic book geeks out there. And yes, specifically COMIC BOOKS. Not people who pick up floppies and call them "graphic novels", we ain't ashamed! More talk about one of our favorite channels to binge on Youtube, Comic Trips, how it has sparked a fire to collect a couple of series that we've been fans of but never gone all in on and our plans to fix that, our favorite local spot for comics and why now more than ever it's important to support your local comic book shops, and even more. Stay safe, stay home, read comics, be happy.

Quarantined and don't know what to do with yourself? Bored with your Netflix routine? Already done with another binge of The Office? Never fear! Hookzilla is here with some recommendations to help ease the quarantine blues. This episode we talk about the Youtube channels we've been obsessed with during the national lockdown. Hopefully, you'll discover something new to love, and of course if there's something that  you watch that would likely  be up our alley that we don't talk about, hit us up! Let's celebrate these content creators who are working very hard (most often without any kind of pay) to entertain in these dark and scary times!
