Hooniverse

Jeff Glucker and Blake Z. Rong are joined in the podcast studio by Tom Morningstar of The Smoking Tire. With the Geneva auto show fresh in our heads, we talk about some of the new supercars that were shown off. From there we move on to talking with Tom about his work with DRIVE and being a cameraman for some pretty cool automaker projects. Morningstar also spills the beans on his recent roll in a rental, and why he rides a bicycle.

Blake Z. Rong is back from Amsterdam and joins Jeff Glucker in the Hooniverse studio for the Hooniverse podcast.. This is a short podcast, but we cram in a ton of topics. Everything from questions for the designer of the C7 Corvette, the proper pronunciation of the Huayra, our love of wagons, and on to Blake's Miata, Raphael Orlove's Baja Bug, and a certain familiar Firebird.

Blake Z. Rong ditches us to go Amsterdam, so instead we're joined by Zack Klapman of The Smoking Tire, and the man behind many cool automotive videos you've most likely scene.

Topics for this episode include the grand opening of Gotham Dream Cars West and driving really fast cars. We touch on a bit of new cars news, the Jeep twitter account getting hacked, and we go off on where the horsepower wars can go from here.

From there it's on to what new cars we're driving this week, (hint: I spent time with the Golf GTD), and we get back to the cars that really matter: older ones. Zack is building a Miata Camera Car, we talk about the Zero F*%ks Given RX-7, and we bring up my friend Tom's 1969 Pontiac Firebird.

The Hoonicast died in the ashes, and it was a glorious death... but the Hooniverse Podcast has risen, and it's ready to soar to new heights.

Join Jeff Glucker and co-host Blake Z. Rong as we delve into all things automotive., and plenty of things that don't make any sense. He's friendly, and I'm controlling, it's the Hooniverse Podcast - Episode ONE!
