"Hope" and "baptismal tank" are the same in Hebrew, what does that tell you about God and Israel?

In Hebrew a word can have multiple meanings, but that richness gets lost in translation. Here's an ancient Midrash about Israel's Father in Heaven and how he makes us clean inside, springboarding from one of those multi-faceted words.
