Hope Bible Church of Tampa

The United States is in big trouble, and it's because of her sin. The entire Bible gives examples of countries that continue in sin, and eventually are judged by God. Only God knows whether our country can be saved, but we do need to keep praying for and preaching to the souls of individual people, for this is the mission of the church.

Frank and Pam Apisa joined us via a virtual meeting to give us a missions update from Italy. Frank used James 1-2-4 in the context of continuing to reach out to others during the challenges of the COVID-19 scenarios. He broadened the perspective to help us see how God uses trials of various kinds in order to grow our faith and further His work in the hearts of men.

I believe every person knows these are troubled times in our country, for there's been riots, violence, murders, and all this unrest and division. Then there's this pandemic, and now this question of whether children should go to school in the fall, or just stay at home and learn online. Yes, it's been a difficult year, but it's a time when we as Christians nee to have God's perspective on all these things, and see that He is sovereign, and that what's at the heart of all this are spiritual issues.-Let's look at some verses that will help us to learn what God wants us to know. 1 Chron. 12-32 -The men of Issachar understood the times and knew what they should do. - The example of these men is instructive, for I believe God wants us to know what's going on in our country. Now of course, we can't know all the details, but God does want us to have an overall understanding of what's happening.

The United States's spiritual decline has been taking place for over 100 years, and now in 2020, we are seeing the fruits of our sin like never before. Are we at the point of no return- Will God show us mercy- Regardless of where we are at, Christians need to wake up, be holy, and do the work of the Lord.
