There will always be uncertainties in life, and most of our anxieties come from uncertainties. But faith is trusting God in the uncertainties of our life. Uncertainty is the opportunity to walk by faith. Like Abraham, having faith doesn't mean not making mistakes or having it all figured out. To live by faith, all that you have to do is to go forward, leaving all consequences and results to God! Open up to Hebrews 11:8-10!

We come to that portion in the book that we describe as, " The Great Faith Hall of Fame.” It's a catalog of believers that have gone before us, whose testimony is that Christ is worth it. His worth is far above whatever what we have given up or lost to follow Him. He is the fulfillment of every OT promise, prophecy, and prototype. His all-sufficiency for our every need, His glory over all creation, His Supremacy over the angels, His atoning death over sin, His triumphant resurrection over the grave, His glorious ascension to His throne, His soon coming to rule and reign — This book is about Christ. He is greater than Abel, Enoch, and Noah. 

This weekend, we dove into Hebrews 10:19-39 together. Hebrews is about the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how you respond to that truth. It is full of deep theological truth, encouragement, and warning. 

Our passage today hits all three:

• The hope of the Gospel
• A fearful expectation of God’s wrath
• The need for endurance

As we pursue  the Lord, let’s remember the importance of :

• Hearing God’s word
• Connecting with God in Prayer
• Connecting with the People of God

One way the good news of the Gospel could be summarized is that: We were guilty; Christ set us free from guilt!  After an incredible Easter weekend where we celebrated Jesus' victory over sin and death, we will get back into a great study of how the work of Christ for us makes a difference in our lives every day and for all of eternity by cleansing our conscience!

He is Risen! The power of the resurrection is offered to you. You can’t earn it, you can’t buy it. It’s by grace & grace alone, through faith in the work Jesus did, that he died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and three days later rose from the dead. He is alive!

The evidence is overwhelming. Let’s stand in faith upon this good news!
