God acceptance of us is not based on what we do but who we are. We can spend our whole lives concerned about the judgement of others or we can learn the true joy that comes from learning how God sees us. This in turn helps us to develop deeper and more meaningful relationships

When Jesus said behold I stand at the door and knock he wasn't knocking on the heart of the unbeliever but the church or that is the Christians who had become "lukewarm" in their devotion to him. They became "meh" Christians

Jesus sets before them an open door. I believe that he is speaking not just of individual opportunities but a heavenly opportunity where God can pour down his presence and his anointing and do great works through the willing and faithful.
