In Sundays talk Simon looked at some of the tensions that come with a growing church. Specifically here was the mistreatment of people from a different background. The church overcome this by growing a diverse leadership team and making sure that they are caring for all those among them that are less well off.

As we continue to grow as a church we'll face similar challenges and tensions, but lets all pray that we would be servant hearted, following Jesus example and continuing to grow into a church as God intended.

2000 years ago in Acts chapter 5 the apostles we're tried to be silent on the gospel, and it's possible that today, whilst the methods might not be flogging others try to silence the message of the gospel in our community.

In this talk we look at the boldness and courage of the apostles, we remind ourselves that the Holy spirit is the principle agent of witnessing and that even when we receive negative feedback we can rejoice as we join in with many who have gone before us. Let's just make sure that if we're going to offend people, we do it by talking about Jesus and not secondary christian issues.

In this talk Chris looks at the end of Acts Chapter 4 and beginning of Acts chapter 5. In these verses we see a contrast between when the church is at 'it's best' and at 'it's worst'. The story of Ananias and Sapphira is an uncomfortable one and giving is never easy to talk about, however a church at it's best never shy's away from delving into passages like this.

We're currently working our way through the book of Acts in the Bible, which looks at the work that “Jesus began to do and teach” and that He continues ‘through His witnesses (us) by the power of His Holy Spirit, to see the Gospel go from Jerusalem, to Judea & Samaria and the ends of the earth'.

On Sunday Chris continued our series in the book of Acts called Acts of the Church. In the second part of Acts chapter 2 at the day of Pentecost came where the people of God were filled with the Holy Spirit, Peter preaches to the crowd and they want to know how to follow Jesus.

The first few chapters of Genesis can be some of the most divisive chapters in the bible. In this seminar Phil shows us some of the keys to interpreting scripture and presents the various different christian views of creation.
