This past Sunday, we reflected on Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem—an event that looked like a royal parade but unfolded with unexpected humility. Rather than arriving on a warhorse with banners and speeches, Jesus rode on a donkey, fulfilling prophecy and redefining kingship. While the disciples wrestled with misunderstandings and the crowds shouted political hopes, Jesus remained focused on a kingdom that looked nothing like the ones of this world. His was a kingdom of peace, humility, and ultimately sacrificial love.
