Paul says he hasn’t got this nailed down either, but that he continues to press on, everyday he chooses Jesus.

Do you want to know Christ?

Let’s press on and choose Jesus everyday, let’s press on into everything Christ has for us.

Nehemiah saw that Israel was in a mess, so he left his comfortable home, came to Jerusalem and did something about the problem. But, as we read later in the bible, it wasn’t long before the Israelites did the same thing again.

The wall is complete and the enemies are afraid and disheartened and it seems like the end of the story. But it’s not, there is still opposition. It’s a helpful reminder that in life even when there’s breakthrough and wonderful things happening, there will still be challenges ahead and decisions we have to make.

Nehemiah initially faced opposition from outside, but now he’s facing opposition from those inside his community and one of the biggest threats to the church is relationships and unity within.

Your enemy is angry at your work for God & conspires to create confusion in your life. Do you ignore your enemy?

4 months have passed between chapter 1 and chapter 2, in that time Nehemiah waited patiently for God to show him the next step.
