Jite looks at the biblical story of Hannah from 1 Samuel 2 to explore the Holy Spirit being the more of God.

Holy Spirit series #7: Restoring the simplicity of Jesus - Emmanuel Samuel (20/07/25) by Hope Church Sittingbourne

Gordon speaks on how the Holy Spirit has always been present, right from the very beginning, starting in Genesis 1:1-3, Gordon shows us some key moments where the Spirit of God brings order in the dark primeval chaos at creation, breathes life into the lungs of Adam, anoints specific people for specific purposes throughout the Old Testament, is promised by the prophet Joel (Joel 2:27-28) that the Holy Spirit will be poured out on all Gods people (every nation, generation and persuasion), and is then breathed out by Jesus upon his disciples before flooding the disciples and all that would follow at Pentecost.

The Holy Spirit always points to Jesus. If the message isn’t about Him, it’s not from Him. Gordon encourages us to spend time with and to get to know the person of the Holy Spirit, and in doing so, to know Jesus more deeply.

Bible Verse (ESV):

John 16:14 — “He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you.”

Quote from the book:

“The Holy Spirit is absolutely consumed with the beauty of Jesus.”

The Holy Spirit doesn’t just enter quietly — He comes to take His rightful place. Whether it’s in a heart, a home, or a church, this message unpacks what it means to prepare Him room and calls people to readiness, holiness, and welcome.

Love is not just what the Spirit brings — it’s who He is. The Holy Spirit doesn’t shame or condemn; He embraces and draws near. This message is as an invitation into holy intimacy, not religious performance.

The Spirit doesn’t come as a force or feeling but as a Person who comes in pursuit. This message intends to help the church see how the Holy Spirit breaks through the noise to bring personal transformation... a call to respond to the Spirit’s pursuit with surrender.

Adam & Lizzie Gregory shared on Pentecost Sunday about the Holy Spirit.

On the evening of Tuesday 3rd June, we gathered as the three Relational Mission Swale churches—Faversham Community Church, Good News Church Sheppey, and Hope Church Sittingbourne—for a powerful evening of worship, training and biblical encouragement.

The evening was entitled Life in the Spirit, with input from our good friend Stef Liston (Relational Mission apostolic team). Together, we explored what it means to live in the power of the Holy Spirit and stay alert to the everyday realities of spiritual warfare.

Held at Meadowfield School, Swanstree Avenue, Sittingbourne, the evening was anything but a typical service. Stef led us in a training-style session, with space for teaching, reflection, and Holy Spirit-led response.

We’re thankful for what Jesus stirred in us—and we pray this resource encourages you to pursue more of Life in the Spirit wherever you are.
