Luke 10 | Jesus has pointed His life to Jerusalem and a cross. His words get a bit harder each day. Today, Jesus is going to send out 72 more disciples, just like He sent the 12. They come back with joy, for sure! But, what should their joy be in?

Luke 9 | Jesus continues his journey to Jerusalem. Along the way, Jesus is instructing His followers about what it means to interact with those whom a society (or even His followers) may consider "outsiders". Are they our enemy? What is Jesus' expectations of those the disciples consider "outsiders"? How does that compare to Jesus' expectations of those who declare themselves forever aligned with Jesus?

Luke 9 | Jesus comes off His mountain top experience to find His disciples in a quandry. They could not help a dad who needed a demon cast out of his son. I mean, what parent hasn't asked for that! Jesus was upset with the disciples. But, why? Good question!

Luke 9 | Today, Peter, James and John go with Jesus to pray on a mountain. They could hardly keep their eyes open, when Jesus' clothes flashed and His face change! Then, two guys for the Old Testament show up! Rather than listen to the conversation, Peter makes his own plan.

Luke 9 | Today, everything changes. Jesus has been getting even more popular as the days go on. Everyone thinks they are following the Messiah, but Jesus has kept it in His actions, not His words. Today that changes, and Jesus reveals the plan.

Luke 9 | Today, Jesus is ready to try out His students. He is going to send them out to the work that He has been doing. Seems weird, but Jesus isn't going to be around forever. He must replace Himself to carry the message to the next generations.

Luke 8 | Jesus gets back from His retreat with His disciples to discover the crowds are waiting for Him. Huge, crushing, and needy crowds. Luke tells about two from the crowd that were just that much more desperate than the rest.

Luke 8 | Jesus decides to load up the disciples in a boat and sail to the other side of Lake Galilee. And, of course something bad happens! A storm tries to drown the whole crew. But, the disciples didn't quite understand the One they were following. Not yet.

Luke 8 | Today Jesus continues to teach through parables. These are teaching stories that convey a wider understanding of the Kingdom of God. Today, Jesus goes on to use several different images, but does Jesus change subjects?

Luke 8 | Today, we see that the Outsiders that are following Jesus are even more diverse than you might have first thought! And Jesus teaches the crowds with the first parable of Luke, teaching about the different soils of our hearts that God's Word gets planted in. But, that isn't the end of the story, is it?
