The events that unfolded at our nation's capitol this week were tragic. How should followers of Jesus process what we saw? How should we respond? Jesus commanded us to take up our cross and follow him, NOT take up our swords and fight for him.
We've all got questions. Some are small and insignificant. Others are BIG. Why am I here? What's the meaning of life? If God is good why is there suffering? Through the account of the Magi in the Christmas Story we discover the answer to our deepest questions isn’t an answer; it’s a person.
We all have a filter through which we view life. That's important to realize because how we view life determines how we do life. The Christmas story reminds us that God gave us a new way to view him and our lives.
Its easy to become so familiar with the Christmas story that we lose sight of how relevant and powerful it is. From a scared teenage girl we learn that even when we don't understand what God is doing, we can trust what God has spoken.
In this episode we recap our Thanksgiving and start dissecting a message forwarded to us by a listener. Thanks for tuning in!
