By relaying on the fact that The Holy Spirit is bringing the presence and power of Jesus to bear in all situations. Healing is one of the gifts of the Spirit. Its real, and it is for today, and it is available. Second, while there are no formulas and no guarantees, we CAN learn from imitating Jesus. And third, as followers of Jesus here at Hope lets make it our normal practice to pray for healing no matter what results we see or don't see.

Some churches teach that Jesus had to die on the cross to appease God. That His wrath needed to be taken out on someone or something so He sent Jesus. BUT what scripture actually says is the opposite of that. All throughout scripture we read that God loves us, he cares for us, He shows us mercy. Jesus willingly went to the cross. He could have stopped that from happening but he didn't.

During time of big change, we can often find ourselves dealing with unmet expectations, or circumstances that are less than comfortable. But God is with us through it all, helping us find new ways of seeing and living. Today, we look at how we can be more present to the ways that God may be growing us, even through the discomfort of rough seasons.
