We are becoming less kind as a culture and Jon uses an extended metaphor of "twins in media" to expose that he believes it is because we have conflated niceness (a culturally defined value) with kindness (a biblical value). Will we learn to see people or will we abandon kindness altogether?

Pastor Jon talks about Patience as the opposite of Pride. Can we learn to listen well to others? Perhaps our future, and the future of the American Church, depends on it.

PJ talks Joy as the moderation between too much and too little and asks how we can seek the gift of joy given by the Holy Spirit.

Pastor Jon give some background on Pauline Theology specifically Paul's emphasis on the Fruit produced by a life in Christ. Then Jon moves on to the first fruit, love which is the foundation and the fount from which the rest of the fruits flow.

Pastor Phil takes the mic to talk about how unity in Jesus necessarily requires division. If inclusivity is the bar, than anyone who divides will be divided out.

Jon takes a crack at an OT Doom Prophet Amos (the Lectionary for July 21, 2019) who centers his ministry on Biblical Justice for the poor. Jon offers that the Bible might be calling us to Equality rather than Equity.
