I wonder what it was like to be the first mom of the world, and also live through the first murder--knowing one son killed the other? We don't know much about Eve, but we do know that she understands what it's like to feel shame (in the garden) and to walk through sibling conflict and great loss.
Today was a hard day. A meltdown, hateful words, a sibling caught in the crossfire — and a mom left wondering if she's doing any of this right. In this raw, unscripted reflection, I walk through a real conflict between my neurodivergent and neurotypical kids, and where I found God in the middle of it. If you're parenting a child who struggles to regulate, this is your reminder that you're not alone, you're not failing, and grace is still enough.
