It's Easter, and today we celebrate, we rejoice, we sing of our Risen Lord Jesus Christ who conquered sin and death on the cross and rose from the dead three days later. In today's message we explore 1 Corinthians 15:1-11. This is the first of several messages where we explore Paul's teaching on the resurrection. In Genesis 16 Abram's wife Sarai has a really bad idea. Abram decides to go along with it and the results are disastrous. 

In this story we again see that God is faithful and we learn that we can't rush His good plan.

The good news that we see in this passage is that God is a covenant making and covenant keeping God. This means He keeps His promises and graciously works with us as we grow in our faith.

Later on in Biblical history the apostle Paul would use an idea from this passage to show that the only way that anyone can have a relationship with God is to receive God's very own perfect righteousness by faith.
