1 Samuel 24:17

The final message in the series speaks about the righteousness of David, and ultimately Jesus. We find the story of Saul and David in the cave demonstrates that David had a right standing before the LORD as Judge. Now in Christ, we become the righteousness of God. This is the gospel. And the goal of righteousness is… relationship!

 

When David wanted to build God a temple, God said “No.”  What was it that God said that motivated David so much, he did everything he could to prepare for the temple’s building and then gave away power before he died to ensure that the right guy built it?

God is good and He loves us with a never-ending love!

God has more for Hope In The City than we’ve even tasted yet!

In our worship experience, we value authenticity and encounter with the Holy Spirit. Yet coming together week after week to worship can breed a familiarity that may dull our felt need to press into Jesus. Let’s dive deeper into the romance of worship, where we come to pour out our hearts and our praise to the Lord, knowing he desires to pour himself into and out upon us. He wants our hearts – our WHOLE hearts, genuine and unfiltered.

By bringing the living sacrifice of our lives to him, we position ourselves to be consumed by the Consuming Fire.
