A very powerful demonstration of the presence of God when the apostles & disciples cried out to God after a severe persecution after they prayed a very powerful prayer. The place they met was shaken!! That's the church of Jesus Christ full of God's power and calling. Question is why did God respond to them? Does God show His presence in a powerful way today in New York, in our church too? We will answer this by looking at this scripture on what kind of church is this!

Everyone of us longs to have God speaks to us. We all want to hear from God. We always pray to God, ie talk to Him, and we long that He talks back to us. Many people say that if there is a God, we can't know him. There is another view that says God is everywhere. Both are incorrect, as God spoke to us through Christ as the ultimate, and He speaks not just truth, but absolute truth!

When Jesus called his first disciples Andrew, Peter, James, and John, we see an unprecedented response from them. What caused this intrinsic desire to forsake all and follow him? What else was going on here? What would happen if we followed Jesus like this today?

Paul's prayer is for us to to know the hope, the riches of his inheritance and finally the incomparably great power of Christ! Its one thing to know about His power, but another thing to know His power. We very much need to feel & experience the power of God, the sovereign power of God as we study the scriptures together looking at the different characters in the bible. Do we make our own plans and our fall or rise is totally due to our decisions? Or is there another force at work which eventually bring everything together in accordance to His will, rather than human's will and plan? Is Christ the head? And what is that in our lives and the world we live in?

There is only one divine Deity who decided to become human in history. That's Jesus. He was, being in very nature God, emptied himself and incarnated into this physical world and took up the nature of being a servant. He eventually obeyed God to the utmost even to death on the cross to redeem mankind. And because of that obedience God exalted him to the highest place and a name that's above every name! Wow, have you ever thought what went through the mind of a deity before he humbled himself and gave up all he had in glory? Come and know the Incarnated God! The GOD-MAN.

Very important for us to know the new humanity that God is building in this world breaking down barriers that divide us and hurt us. Only Christ is the answer to this new humanity through the cross.

The triune God, Trinity shows us a glimpse on the inner dynamics of their relationship and hence our relationship with God.

So important to know the real Jesus just like Mark recorded clearly. There is a dire need in the world today just exactly who is Jesus. This will affect our way to live our lives. Unlike Hinduism, the incarnation is happening all the time and its just constant. Judaism and Islam who say that god is so transcendent, contrary to all, Christianity says that God is so loving to us that he broke though the concrete wall, and reincarnated in the person Jesus Christ, it’s the universe, world view shattering, universe changing fact.

Living sacrifice-Real freedom when we take our hands off from our lives and let God take our lives. Experience the real freedom and liberty and enjoy the beauty as we put our trust in the God who is infinitely wise, loving.

How we adore God and hallow him in our secret prayer will affect our view of life and ourselves. Every good thing comes from God. It's an important word on who we are as shown in what we pray in secret.
