God now begins to give instructions for the building of the tabernacle—and there is an incredible amount of imagery that points to the gospel of Jesus!

Imagine this. The Bible’s descriptions of God in this scripture are, in a sense, frustrating, as they don’t describe much. Fire, feet, and a “pavement of sapphire stone”.

Yet, it may be saying more than we realize.

A fascinating portion of scripture as God promises the Israelites that he will send an angel to them who will bring them into the place He has prepared for them. And he promises to drive out the Canaanites “little by little”.

But at the same time, he warns them again: do not bow before the Canaanite gods and carry out their practices.
