To finish 2020 well—as challenging of a year it has been for each of us — we must process all that we've experienced and endured. During World War I, a Christmas Eve truce was declared. Soldiers on both sides laid down their weapons and spent Christmas Eve eating, talking, and sharing each other's company. When it was time to resume the warfare, they could not. The divide between the two sides had been closed. This Christmas Truce of 1914 holds many parallels to our lives today.
