God arms me with strength, and he makes my way perfect.

When we involve God first in our plans he will make sure that they succeed. As we were building our new church home this past year one of the longest parts of the process was plan approval. At a certain point our architect and engineer began to talk directly with the city planing department and it was amazing how much quicker things moved along. When you go straight to God with your plans and seek His guidance it’s amazing how much quicker you plans will become a reality.

Psalm 16:8 NLT

I know the Lord is always with me.

I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.

This last week my nephew Hudson who just turned 2, was wanting to go down the stairs at the church. I saw him take the first step down and he was a little wobbly. I was standing right next to him and quickly took his hand. As soon as I grabbed ahold of him he flew down the stairs so fast I could hardly keep up. This year know that not only is God right beside you, but he is holding onto you. Don’t cast away your confidence and don’t be shaken along the journey.

PSALM 147:3 NLT

He heals the brokenhearted

and bandages their wounds.

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,

I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart;

I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.

I remember growing up there was a song we used to sing in church called, “Look what the Lord has done”. It was a fun song and people would get excited and jump around, but I wonder how many of us carried that same excitement about His goodness into our everyday life. It’s one thing for us to say it in church, but it’s a much greater thing to tell those around us how good our Father is. When you experience something that you love, you can’t help but talk about it. I want to encourage you this year to talk well about our God. Remember, you are a spokesman for His kingdom so let’s represent Him well.
