Most people don’t intentionally build their life on something vulnerable. But according to Jesus, it happens more often than we think. In one of his most famous stories, Jesus describes two people building houses that look identical. The difference isn’t noticed until the storm comes. The difference isn’t intelligence, intention, or even belief. The difference is obedience.
Jesus asked a lot of questions. Not because he didn’t know the answers, but because questions have a way of getting under the surface. A good question can expose our fears, challenge our assumptions, and force us to think about things we’d rather ignore. In this series, we’ll explore some of the most powerful questions Jesus asked and discover that they’re not just questions for people in the Bible. They’re questions for us.
After searching everywhere for meaning, Solomon finally gives his answer. In the final week, we’ll discover the simple, powerful truth that brings clarity to everything else. And the sooner in life you discover the meaning of life, the better off you will be.
We’ve never been more connected, yet we’ve never been more lonely. This week, we’ll learn why relationships are central to a meaningful life and how God uses community to strengthen and sustain us.
The human assumption is that if I have more than others, then I win. This impulse is driven by envy. Solomon, who had more than anyone, found that envy will never make you win in life. In this message, we’ll see that when you overcome envy, your life becomes a win-win scenario.
There are seasons in life. Every career, every marriage, every partnership, every venture, and every life goes through seasons. They all have beginnings and endings. This is normal. But spiritual and emotional problems arise when we don’t know what season we’re in when it comes to a particular relationship, and when we don’t see endings as normal. As a result, we don’t know when a season has come to an end, and it’s time to move on to the next season. Wise people learn to tell what season they are in. Particularly, they learn to see when the sun has set on a particular season of life so they can move on to the next season.
What if you got everything you’ve ever wanted? Your dream job, dream house, dream lifestyle, but then you discovered that there was still something missing. Mick Jaeger said he couldn’t get no satisfaction. The truth is, he couldn’t keep no satisfaction. If he had read Ecclesiastes, he would have understood what Solomon learned the hard way. You can gain the whole world and still have an empty soul.
We all chase something. The job, the relationship, the milestone we think will finally make everything click. But what if the chase itself is the problem?

Most of us are fine with forgiveness in theory, until it gets personal. The real question is who deserves it, how much, and how long it should take. But when you look at the life of Jesus, he doesn't seem very careful with forgiveness. He treats it like it has no limits, which, honestly, sounds a little ridiculous. But if Jesus represents God, does that mean God is really like that? If you've ever asked whether forgiveness could actually include you, Easter is for you.
