Hope Your Day Doesn't Suck

We've all heard the saying time flies when you're having fun.

I actually disagree with that. In my experience, time goes by slower when I'm having fun or experiencing something new like when I'm on vacation or quarantined for 14 days.

I wondered why that is and finally I did some research so I can understand and can get more of that feeling of time going by slower in my life.

As I get older, I don't want time to feel like time flies by.

In this episode I'm going to share with you a crazy story about what sailors have to go through in order to become NAVY seals and in particular a story of one person who was willing to die in order to not fail.

Thankfully for what most of us want to achieve we don't have to experience near death to achieve it.

But for those that want to become a Navy SEAL, it's what they have to face.

For the vast majority of us our dream isn't to be a NAVY SEAL, but we can still learn from their mindset to help us achieve our dreams especially when it gets difficult.

This episode is for you if you need some motivation and inspiration in the face of failure. Each person, who's wildly successful now, showed that there is no success without failure.

Each of them had a strong conviction in what they were doing and didn't let rejection stop them. Imagine if they had listened to other people including those that thought they knew better.

And one last important point I want you to take away from today's episode. Before they became household names they were unknowns. They were beginners all struggling to find someone to give them a chance and they didn't give up on their dreams.

I hope these examples have inspired you and keep you going despite any setbacks you have faced or will face in the future.

When I think back to pivotal moments in my life todays' episode is right up there. When faced with huge decisions, they're scary at the time. So much doubt and uncertainty for choosing the unknown path.

But something inside us tells us it's time. We have to make that choice despite how nervous we are. We have to take that leap of faith and see how it goes.

We've got to take that chance and not wait any longer for the perfect time.

The decision to quit my job that I had been doing for over 10 years was huge for me. Life changing decision. Scary decision. It was not an easy decision to make but when I did I had to burn my ships.

Sometimes you just have to feel the fear and do it anyways. That's how I'm feeling right now as I launch this podcast. It's been in the works for well over a year because of fear that held me back.
