The concept of “fearing God” seems antiquated in our modern society, especially when you consider that the God of the Bible presents himself to us as our loving father. Why would we fear our loving father? And why, would the Bible blatantly instruct us to “fear God.”

The God of the Bible is up to something. He is a mastermind with a master plan, and nothing will stop him from seeing his plan through to the end.

According to the Bible, God created the universe and humankind. He is responsible for giving each of us life. Beyond the gift of our existence, what exactly does God owe us?

God does not need us to defend him. We are allowed to be uneasy and uncomfortable with the decisions God has made throughout human history.

The God of the Bible is actually on our side. Even when we mess up, he still wants what’s best for us. In fact, he will even help us clean up our messes, if we let him.

Hope Community Church has never been about trying to make people more religious. In fact, we want to encourage people to give up their religion in exchange for a relationship.

Experiencing jealousy, envy and covetousness are all part of the human experience. If left unchecked, those feelings will completely derail your life and ruin your relationships.

We are quick to identify the wrongs others have committed but have a much more difficult time owning up to our own wrongdoings.

Believe it or not, one of the things that all human beings have in common is a desire to be God, at least to some degree. We don’t want God’s burdens or responsibilities, but we do want final say over how we live our lives.
