In Part 9 of UnRivaled, we explore Colossians 3:12-21 and what it looks like to live out our new identity in Christ through the way we treat the people around us. Paul reminds us that who we are in Christ should directly inform how we behave, calling us to compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, patience, forgiveness, and above all, love—the bond that holds the body of Christ together. We also discover the powerful invitation to “let” God's peace rule in our hearts and His Word dwell richly within us, recognizing that while we cannot manufacture spiritual transformation, we can choose to yield control to God. Finally, Paul brings the gospel into the home, challenging husbands, wives, parents, and children to make their relationships a living expression of Christ's lordship. Because at home is where it matters most—if Christ is truly Lord of our lives, His presence should be most evident in the way we love, serve, forgive, and treat the people closest to us.
