Going into the contest on Tuesday, Seattle played a strong game behind a great pitching performance. Houston needed a win and has Valdez going on the mound. See my call here.

These are two teams that are fighting to get into the playoffs and this game featured plenty of ebb and flow.

Coming off a 7-8 record in Week 2, I'm still 16-14 on the early season. I'm feeling better about the matchups and some of the games on the slate will be worth watching as multiple teams try to avoid 0-3 starts. It's an early edition the next couple of weeks with weekend plans!

It was a very good 9-5 week to begin the year. BUT, even with some spreads that are very small... I'm counting on a couple of bounce backs from some teams and that could make things a little dicey!

A great pitching performance from Castillo and Maeda... and then some clutch performances from both teams led to a great game for both Alec and I to call our first MLB game as a duo.
