Theology proper forms prayer, because those who come to God must believe that He is as He says. Faith facilitates prayer, because it lays hold of God as the One who hears, heeds, heals, and helps us for the sake of Christ and the love in which He gave Him

We have death in sin. God has mercy, love, grace, and kindness. And He unites us to the risen, ascended, seated Christ as displays of that mercy, love, grace, and kindness.

The eternal perspective of hoping in Christ to solve the death problem enables us to live for something more than the pleasure of the moment. Since all have had natures of worldliness, we must love by refusing to nurture others' worldliness.

2020.05.06 Prayer Meeting Devotional-When we come to God through Christ for prayer, we should come with boldness, expectation of effectiveness, mindful consecration unto His holiness, gospel-liberated sincerity, and baptism-sealed assurance.

God's glory is magnified in election -which is free, according to His mere pleasure and promise- and gracious over-against our sin- and prayer -wherein His knowledge, power, and goodness are worshiped-.
