The deliberations for The 2016 Grimmys, HorribleNight.com's Games of the Year Awards with Justin, Cole, Aaron, Justin, Coop, Ryan, Josh and JB. Part 1 features Old Game of the Year, Quickie Game of the Year, Feature of the Year, and Best Sounding Thing.

Justin is pretty confident in the top of his list, but wants to make sure other favorites get some conversation. Luckily, Cole is curious, too, so he doesn't have to talk to himself.

From pub crawls to a vacation full of puzzles and a brotherly adventure, experiencing variety and connection to his 2016 games was not a problem for Aaron. He's one of the good guys after all, he deserves all of this.

Ryan not only survived his first year with Horrible Night, but he also avoided drowning in more gaming options than he's experienced in a decade. 2016's unpredictability allowed for a few disappointments to open the door for unexpected surprises.

Cole got a lot of payoff in 2016. A few surprises, but also had his fandom rewarded with a road trip with some bros that Justin never would have thought could be tolerable. Maybe someone will actually listen to Cole at the Grimmys this year. Nah.

How did Justin Gifford respond to have more means to play games than any other year? He went in search of a spaceship before enjoying some rockets closer to the ground with some really good matchmating inbetween.

Give this man some demons, ponies, and lots of boss fights and Coop is pretty content gamer. It turns out that game selections of 2016 prioritized fun over trying to play everything. Maybe he's onto something.

Justin and Ryan finally bro out with some fantastical new friends as the end of the gaming year suddenly got a lot more crowded. Games that shouldn't have been fun have simultaneously ruined and made the holidays. 2016 continues to baffle.

The Justins meet up after a long holiday weekend of gaming to discuss the many hurdles of finishing games. Suddenly, shorter and more linear games are more appealing, but can a game be too linear? Should those experiences even be games?
