  • 1BR (2019) - Hanging with Producer Alok Mishra & Actress Naomi Grossman

An affordable 1 BR apartment in Los Angeles? If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is! There's something off about this cozy apartment complex community, and Sarah is going to find out exactly why.

We had the absolute pleasure of hanging out with Producer Alok Mishra and Actress Naomi Grossman (Pepper, American Horror Story) to talk about their parts in bringing 1BR to the screen!

  • IT - 2017

Clowns will always be scary and this really just puts the nail on the coffin for that stereotype. One of the 2017 horror movies that revived the entire genre!  Stephen King himself actually liked this version, and he almost never likes movies adapted from his books. Nostalgia, comedy, mystery, top notch special effects and of course absolute horror blend together beautifully to create what we would consider a horrific masterpiece. But there's no way we're not gonna pick on it. Some things you just never do, like talk to Sink People...

  • Malignant - 2021

Talk about a sibling rivalry! This lockdown masterpiece was deprived of the theatrical reception it should've had.

  • Urban Legend - 1998
Check it, we got Freddy, Chucky, and baby girl Michael Myers in one film! Okay, they aren't those characters, but it's still pretty rad. This 1998 slasher classic is a fun ride, for some reason. We really can't put our finger on it, but aside from some logistics, it works.

  • Texas Frightmare Weekend Recap - 2022
Gen & Elicia finally met in person! Just a little inside peek into what we saw and did over the weekend. Panels, cosplay celeb sightings and our SHF Fam! It was a blasty blast and we can't wait to go back next year.

  • Mother's Day - 1980

Not much to say about this one folks....there are plenty of other "Mom" themed movies. You should go watch those.

  • Scream - 1996

Yes, another Wes Craven flick...what can we say? We have a type! Since as you are reading this, Elicia and I are hanging out for the first time in person at Texas Frightmare Weekend, we decided to Scream this week in honor of the cast who will be making appearances at this here convention. It's gonna be wild!

Sydney is one of our favorite Final Girls and Craven does it again with his ability to scare you in broad daylight! Scream is definitely a horror classic that revived the slasher genre in the best way possible. But is this movie ACTUALLY a whodunit? Hmmm....

If you aren't yet, follow us on Instagram and join in the fun! We'll be doing live videos from TFW, hopefully all weekend, but we'll see how that goes....we may be having a little too much fun.  If you are attending TFW too, and see us around, come say hi!
