Sometimes people don’t say "I'm sorry". Sometimes people don’t believe they were wrong. But that doesn’t matter. Apologies aren’t what vindicate you, you vindicate yourself.

Don’t wait for someone to apologize and hold a grudge against them until they do. Do you know why? Because the person that feels the wrath of your anger, frustration, and hatred, is you.

Rather than waiting for an apology, or expecting one to come, accept that it may never happen. And that’s OK. Because your life and your happiness don’t depend on someone else saying sorry. Your life and your happiness depend on you and your acceptance of how things are, not how you want them to be.

Morning Mantra: “Every champion was once a beginner who refused to give up.”

I spent the weekend watching all the riders at the horse show I was set up at with my Horse Hippie mobile unit.  I saw some champions and I saw some quit. It made me think about what makes a champion. I realized that they just don't give up.

We are not all born with the strength and determination it takes to keep going when we meet an obstacle in our quest. But, strength often grows in the moments when you think you can’t go on but you do anyway.

Remember, you are made from the same energy source that created the oceans, the forests, the mountains, the valleys, and all the stars in the sky. So, tell me again why you think you don’t have the strength and commitment to create whatever life or reach any goal you desire?

So go for it, and if you feel like giving up, rest- just don’t quit.

If you want to improve your life, you must start to cultivate good habits. I added horses of course! But seriously, try to include as many of these healthy habits as possible every day.

Your habits will either make you or break you. Healthy habits are learned in the same way as unhealthy ones, through practice.

When building your healthy habits, choose ones that are easier to stick to so you can do them on a regular basis.
Want to develop a habit of reading to expand your mind? Choose a book that you can’t put down. 
Want to make sure you exercise? Do one you enjoy doing. 
Want a healthier diet? Choose food you find tasty.

Whatever your goals are stay persistent.  Studies show it takes 21 days to form a new habit so stick with your new habit and over time your habits will become your lifestyle.

People may not always tell you how they feel, but they will certainly show you. Watch how people treat you, because how they treat you is ultimately how they feel about you. When they tell you they are too busy, it's not always a reflection of their schedule, sometimes it's a reflection of your spot on their schedule.

Don’t try to decode or make excuses for their behavior. It’s simple, if they act like they don’t care, they probably don’t. If they truly like you, they won’t ever put you in a position to wonder why they’re acting that way or how they feel. They will act right from the beginning and show you what you’re truly worth without the games.

If you’re ever in doubt of how someone feels, don’t always assume the worst, ask them. We can also play games in our own head. Ask them instead of being hurt by their behavior.  If they deny they are acting strange, then you'll know.

Be with those that make you a priority, not an option, in their lives.

Oftentimes we make choices based on how we feel in the moment. I bet you can think of a few times. I know I can.

Making decisions based on a temporary feeling can often lead to the wrong choice.  Try to treat your feelings like visitors; understand that they come and go.
Acknowledge them, try and understand them, but do not let them move in and run your life.

Learn to use your emotions (feelings) to think, but do not let your emotions think for you. To do this you must recognize the emotional reaction you are having.  To learn to respond rather than react.

Developing emotional intelligence helps you to recognize emotions in yourself and in others, and to use this awareness to manage your thoughts and behavior accordingly.
